Acer has introduced a new netbook called the Acer Aspire E100, which is designed for students use.Notebook Italia reports that Acer is working with the European Schoolnet on the project.
Acer Aspire E100 netbook is packs a 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and bundled with Acer Classroom Manager and Fourier MultiLab Lite software.
It is looks like a standard Acer netbook but key differences is a label pocket and a rubberized coating, which is provides extra shock resistance. Acer Aspire E100 netbook has 24mm thick and just about 1kg weights that be easily carried in a backpack.
In specs, the Acer Aspire E100 is sports Intel Atom (not specified) processor, two OS (operating system) options – Windows 7 and Android.
Other specifications on the Acer Aspire E100 include a 250GB hard drive,1GB of DDR3 RAM, a 6 cell battery, integrated 8021.. b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and Ethernet.
As the Acer Aspire E100 is designed to be used by schools, and can be fully customized with school logos and settings there are no details on pricing and no details if it will be available outside Europe.
