In the recent past, Huawei has ventured into the mainstream smartphone market, trying to establish a solid user base by launching high-end smartphones. Whether or not these handsets will be a success, only time can tell. For now, Evleaks has spotted a rather mid-end Huawei Ascend G710 smartphone supporting a 5-inch display.
What is rather interesting is that Huawei seems to have packed somewhat modest hardware in this handset. The company had been focusing on high-end smartphones for a while, so the leaked handset with its mid-end specs is an interesting step, if indeed G710 turns out to be a real smartphone.
As per the reported specs of the G710, it packs a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. However, unlike a few recent high-end smartphones from Huawei, this one includes a 720p display for the 5-inch screen.
Apart from these details, the handset is said to have a slick metal back as well as support for both GSM and CDMA networks. Moreover, the 5-inch is fully utilized in the handset to provide ample navigation space to the users, with Huawei including a few capacitive navigation buttons.
Whether or not the leaked images and specs of the handsets are accurate, we can’t say. However, evleaks has a past of revealing authentic information regarding upcoming handsets. So banking on their fairly good repute when it comes to leaks, we think Huawei Ascend G710 may very well be a real handset in the coming.
