Though, ZTE is the world’s 4th largest mobile handset, it hasn’t gained much traction in the smartphone market. The company wants to reverse the situation, and recently unveiled a high-end smartphone named the ‘Nubia Z5’. This handset is certainly capable of competing against many other high-end Android smartphones.
Nubia Z5 is a fairly good combination of both beauty and brains. The looks are certainly enticing with a 5-inch display and a mere 0.3-inch thick body. The screen packs a 1080p display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. To top off this crisp display is the fact that it has been manufactured by Sharp, obviously lending a lot more credence to it.
Under the hood, the device is no less impressive. It packs a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor together with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage space. It runs Android 4.1 and has a 13-megapixel rear camera. At the front is another 2-megapixel camera, and all this hardware is juiced up with a 2,300 mAh battery. Needless to state that with these looks and hardware, Nubia Z5 certainly packs quite a punch.
However, ZTE hasn’t announced the device for the U.S. market yet and for now, it will be available only in China for a going price of about $555. However, if you are excited about this handset, you will be happy to note that ZTE has plans of entering the U.S. market with a bang. The company is due to unveil yet another handset, the Grand S, at CES 2013, and it will be available also for the U.S. market.
