Are You Ready For Buy a Galaxy Tab

Samsung Galaxy Tab could become a big threat for Apple iPad.The Android based Galaxy Tab is a combination of smartphone and tablet. So are you ready to buy a Galaxy Tab….

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has already succeeded at getting the public’s attention, now the question that remains is how much will this 7-inch tablet cost. That question partially answered when some overzealous European resellers started announcing their prices for the tablet with no contracts. The prices they annouced were pretty shocking, the 16GB is being offered for €699, and the 32GB model for €799. To equate those figures to US dollars that is about $900 for the 16GB model and $1000 for the 32GB model.

Those numbers are high enough to scare away just about anybody. So it came as no surprise when an Executive dished on how much the Galaxy Tab will cost you on contract with a phone carrier. The Executive said in an interview with dailymail.co.uk that the tablet is “supposed to cost between $200 and $300, depending on phone carrier subsidies”.One carrier in the UK that has already said they will carry the Samsung Galaxy Tab in October is Vodafone, a rumored US carrier is Sprint.

There are some benefits but there are also some disadvantages for the Galaxy Tab being tied to a contract. A couple of benefits include a dedicated phone service (the Galaxy Tab can make voice phone calls, see the full specifications for the Galaxy Tab) and 3G connectivity. Now the disadvantage should be a clear one, you will have to sign a probable 2-year contract with a carrier and sign yourself up to get an extra phone/data bill in addition to the one you already probably getting every month.

Never pay it for this price, even a ipad. Compare to laptop, those kind of device are only worth $200 ~ $300. Cost to build is around $50. Checking Taiwan-China assembly line you will know it.

These are flop gadgets. No long term use like Laptop etc. and most of all if you cannot use MS office over it the way you do it on PC etc, it practically just for gaming and fun etc, no professional will use it. Yes people who are status conscious and lots of money to waste, they will buy. But I am sure within next one year these will be out of production or if modified then probably they may have chance in future. Price is completely unreasonable. People in Asia and Mid East have already made up their mind to dump it.

I was very interested in purchasing this device until I realized how much it will cost without company.

I’m looking for a pill (or even an iPod Touch like device) that is powered by Android, and is not tied to a monthly plan. I’m not a fan of Archos models and hope was the new model from Samsung is what I was looking.

    I was wrong.

There is no way I will pay a monthly fee for a tablet and there is no way I’m paying more than $ 350 for such devices.

    I think I’ll try again in 2014.
