The launch of Moto X and Moto G helped Motorola to prove itself to be a strong contender in the global mobile market. Later, a rumored occurred that the company was making a 6.3-inch phablet named Moto Xplay. And now, a new rumor is swirling around that Motorola is planning to launch Moto Xplay in the third quarter of this year.
Last year in October, rumor regarding 6.3-inch Xplay phablet swirled around first. At present, many people are speculating that Motorola may launch this device alongside the Moto 360. Besides it is expected that Xplay will include Touchless Control, Active Display and many more.
On the other side, earlier this year, another rumor was posted on Weibo, claiming that we would not be able to see the device until 2015. But the Chinese site confirmed that Motorola will surely launch a phablet at the end of this year. The site also suggested that before releasing (if releasing), Motorola may change the name of Xplay.
It is to be noted here that Motorola has hinted about a few upcoming devices, but it is unclear what the “upcoming devices” are. And regarding the rumor, Motorola hasn’t commented anything officially. Therefore, it’s completely unclear whether or not Motorola will surely launch Xplay or any other phablet this year. Let’s wait and see what Motorola brings at its next event.
