Samsung is aiming to please tablet consumers with different display sizes and Yonhapnews reports that Samsung will reveal an 8.9-inch Android-based tablet next month with power of Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS………
Korean Yonhap News Agency is reporting that Samsung has an 8.9-inch Android tablet due in the first half of the year. The 8.9-inch tablet doesn’t have a name at this point but we can totally see Samsung naming it Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. The tablet will be launched something in this first half of the year with next month being the earliest the tablet could be launched.Other than that the news source claims that the tablet will run on Google’s Android operation system, version unknown but we feel it will be Android 3.0 Honeycomb just like the recently announced Galaxy Tab 10.1.
The 8.9-inch tablet is supposed to be introduced by mid-year, the earliest date suggested being March so we may see something at CeBIT 2011 next week. The device would be released in collaboration with mobile operators so it will most likely be subsidized and paired up with a mobile broadband plan.Samsung 8.9-inch tablet could use a Hummingbird single-core chip or a dual-core Exynos or Nvidia Tegra processor.

I can’t wait for this to come out…As long as Samsung doesn’t price the way Motorola did with XOOM effectively guaranteeing a DOA.
