The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is responsible for spreading the news about important events to the USA citizens via Mobile Messages. It does this via two protocols- Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) and Emergency Alert System (EAS) The WEA system is used to warn the public about dangerous weather, missing children, and other critical situations through alerts on cell phones, which includes Tornado Warning and AMBER Alert. Whether you are using an android phone or an iOS device, you will receive AMBER Alerts. But you can easily turn off receiving these Alerts, just follow the below steps if you are using an Android Device.
