Cameras and newer phones integrate more and more often at your photos the GPS coordinates of where the photograph was taken. If this information can sometimes be useful, it can be dangerous if you publish your photos on the Internet where anyone finds out where a photograph was made. You can delete this information with the free tool called Geotag Security and in this tutorial I will show you how to do that.
To get started follow steps below
Step 1: Click here to download Geotag Security app on your Windows computer
Step 2: Run it and follow the wizard instructions to install Geotag Security.
Step 3: Launch the program by double clicking its desktop shortcut.
Step 4: In the window that opens, click the Browse button.
Step 5: Select the folder where the photos from which you want to delete the geographical marking is located and click OK.
Step 6: Then click the Start button.
Step 7: The software displays a report telling you how many pictures where GPS information were deleted. Note that the change is permanent and that this information can not be restored. Finally, click Close.
You are done! Repeat this process for any other photo from which you want to delete GPS information. If you have any opinions which you would like to share about this small but quite useful app for Windows leave your reply in comment section below.
