Don’t Change Your Twitter Login Info Until Further Notice

The popular microblogging service Twitter has notified yesterday that they are investigating instances of user access failure upon changing of login information by the users.

The problem started last week when many users, both new and old ones, couldn’t log into their accounts after updating their profile information which include user name , email address, password etc.

Until the problem is resolved, Twitter has advised its users not to modify their profiles. The advisory can be found at the official Twitter status blog.

The problem is the latest technical hiccup that has affected Twitter in recent days. The problem was preceded by a small glitch which halted the creation of new tweets and a much publicized glitch which stopped updating the time lines of many users.

Twitter is giving top priority to fix the new problem. At the moment of the official notification it was believed that the problem could be caused by a caching bug residing somewhere in the system. [COMPUTERWORLD]
