20-year old Anthony Harrison is a cancer patient. He went for a bone-marrow transplant but the operation failed and now, he has been told by the doctors that there’s not much that they can do anymore. So he has a few days, perhaps months to live and is on the verge of death. So Anthony has created a bucket list on YouTube which includes, among other things, meeting his ‘celebrity idol’ Katy Perry.
As soon as the video from Anthony reached social media, it has gone viral. A certain group of Katy Perry dedicated fans, called ‘Katy Kats’, have started sharing and resharing the video on the social media.
A number of blogs dedicated to Katy Perry have also shared the video and are actively encouraging their readers as well as fellow fans to share the video so much so that Perry eventually watches the video and Harrison can realize his dream of meeting her.
Check he video below:
Some have tried asking the question as to whether or not the video is authentic. A Reddit user, actively sharing the video, responded, “If he’s real, he’ll appreciate the support. If he’s fake, we’ll leave that to 4Chan.”
Currently the whole campaign has been launched under the hashtag #KatyMeetAnthony. Fans of Perry and supporters of Harrison are actively working on the campaign and who knows Harrison may be able to meet Perry after all.

The video is real. This is my brother, this was one of his main wishes and i pray it comes true! 🙂
The video is very real. This is my son. I pray his wish comes true.
How anyone could doubt this young man’s sincerity is beyond me. This is very real. I spent some time with this awesome family this weekend and the bond they have and how they have come together for Tony is so amazing. I truly pray his wishes come true.
Unfortunately this situation/video is very real… I can understand why people who do not know him would doubt it but as his mother, I wish it wasn’t… I know his father, our family, and Tony’s friends all wish it wasn’t true….
I am deeply sadden to hear about your sons health. You all are in my thoughts and prayers and hope that he does get his wish all of them for that matter.
God Bless all of you
