Google’s “Hangout” Interview With President Obama

Even the president of the U.S. has to be hip and keep up with the trends right? Well following this spirit, Google just posted information regarding an exclusive post-State of the Union interview with Obama in Google+ Hangout. The interview will take place on the 30th of January and will be streamed live on YouTube.

Users who have a thing for politics or just happen to have burning questions on their minds can go right ahead and submit their questions either via video or text message on the White House YouTube channel until the 28th.

“If you could hang out with President Obama, what would you ask him?” Ramya Raghavan, YouTube news and politics manager, posted on his blog. “Would your question be about jobs or unemployment? The threat of nuclear weapons? Immigration reform? Google is hoping to turn this one of the kind interview into something interactive. Users get the opportunity to rate and vote for questions and the ones who get voted the most will be invited to join Google+ Hangout to participate live in the interview.

President Obama is no stranger to social networks. It seems he likes to be in touch with whatever is new and popular. During his 2008 presidential campaign, Obama wasn’t shy to use Facebook, YouTube or Twitter to his advantage when dealing with his supporters.
