Apple has been setting the trends in the notebook market for some time. It set an all new standard for the entire market when it released it’s MacBook Air. It was quite a surprise for the world to have such notebooks which were ultra-thin, worked for many more hours than conventional notebooks and were very sleek and high-functionality devices. Now, it seems, Apple is again preparing to up the competition by overhauling the design of it’s MacBook Pro notebooks.

95 Percent Of All Mobile Phone Profits Go To Apple And Samsung

This may sound unbelievable but it is very true. Of the total profits earned by mobile companies in the fourth quarter of 2011, nearly 95 percent was grabbed by Apple and Samsung. In fact, Apple grabbed nearly 80 percent off all profits, leaving Samsung with a tiny 15 percent in comparison. The traditional technology giants, Nokia, RIM and Motorola are quite squeezed in their profits and from the looks of it, are barely surviving the fight put on an all new level by Apple and Samsung.

Apple Stops Production Of White MacBook, No More Educational Institution Distribution

Apple’s white MacBook has long been taking it’s last breathes. Apple already stopped producing it for mainstream consumer last year, pushing the consumers towards it’s other notebooks, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. However, Apple was still producing the white MacBook for educational institutions only. Now, Apple has announced that it has stopped the production of the notebook even for educational institutions and that this marks the ‘End of Life’ for this particular Apple notebook.

MacBook Air Could Become ARM Based Touch-Screen Tablet Device?

Rumors have been doing rounds on the internet that Apple intends to unveil a MacBook Air that will be based on ARM. For the record, Apple currently uses Intel processors in MacBook Air. But recently, a statement issued by Citigroup suggests that such rumors are false and that Apple has no plans of switching MacBook Air from Intel to ARM. The question is, would such a move benefited Apple and whether or not ARM will be a better choice over Intel in the coming days.
