Whereas companies such as HTC and Samsung have tried to gain a foothold in both the Android and Windows Phone platforms, Nokia has categorically debunked the possibility of creating an Android smartphone in the near future.
Nokia has been trying hard to push its Lumia lineup of smartphones into the limelight. Although the company has dished out a few excellent Lumia handsets in the later part of 2012, they are far from mainstream. In total, Nokia was able to sell 4.4 million Lumia devices during the fourth quarter of 2012.
