The rumors of a size upgrade for Apple’s thinnest notebooks have been doing their rounds in the past. And now, these rumors have been invigorated anew. According to this fresh round of rumors, Apple is working on a 15-inch model of MacBook Air which is due next month. This has been revealed by ‘Electric Pig’ who claims that it got the scoop from a Mac accessory maker.
Pegatron is one of Apple’s chief manufacturers for MacBook Air. Incidentally, Pegatron also produces Asustek’s Zenbook. There are a whole lot of similarities in the look and design of the two notebooks. That of course disgruntles Apple who likes to keep it’s design and the looks of it’s devices, exclusive and protected. And so now, Apple has told Pegatron to choose between the two. With things going pretty well with Apple’s MacBook Air, it’s natural that Pegatron has chosen to side with MacBook Air and will stop production of Zenbook soon.
Rumors have been doing rounds on the internet that Apple intends to unveil a MacBook Air that will be based on ARM. For the record, Apple currently uses Intel processors in MacBook Air. But recently, a statement issued by Citigroup suggests that such rumors are false and that Apple has no plans of switching MacBook Air from Intel to ARM. The question is, would such a move benefited Apple and whether or not ARM will be a better choice over Intel in the coming days.
Although MacBook Air comes with fairly adequate slots to plug in different devices that normally go with laptops, some users simply can’t get enough of the slots. Especially for professionals, the lot is always less. So for those, the LandingZone dock may come to be a very handy addition. This dock with a number of extension ports and sit very comfortably under MacBook Air. Although still not commercially available, it is expected to hit the market by spring this year at a price tag of $199.

In a latest revelation by Appleinsider, it has been found that Apple has filed a number of patents regarding ‘fuel cell batteries’ operating on hydrogen. According to the patents submitted, these batteries are a great alternative to the regular batteries and may have a charge-life of days or even up to weeks after a single recharge. Apple plans to implement these batteries in it’s MacBook series, for now.
