Facebook celebrated its one-year anniversary of public debut last month. On its heels, the company brought together a shareholders meeting to discuss its performance and future prospects. Not unexpectedly, the meeting was a rather tough ride for Mark Zuckerberg and other Facebook executives.
Last week on April 4 at Facebook headquarter, CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg officially announced Facebook Home, a free software that users can install on their Android devices to essentially “Facebook-ize” their phones. But software giant Microsoft has said that Facebook Home is a “copycat” and Windows Phone is the “real thing.”

Around two years ago, Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive of Facebook, said at a public forum that he believed that children under 13 should be allowed to use Facebook. To make that possible, Facebook was developing a technology that would allow under-13 children to use the social-networking site legally under parental supervision. It seems, teenagers aren’t out of their parents’ supervision either. A new study by Education Database Online has found that nearly half of all parents using Facebook have joined to spy on their kids!
We got another member in Silicon Valley’s $1 CEO club. The new member is Jeremy Stoppelman, CEO of business reviews site Yelp. Stoppelman has joined two other popular members of the club, namely Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg.
Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg recently announced a new search feature for the social network at a launch event. ‘Graph Search’ is essentially a more sophisticated form of social search. At the event, Zuckerberg also announced that his company has sealed a search partnership deal with Bing.
