Apple Introduces iPhoto for iPad

iPhoto, the awesome Mac app that Apple introduced back in 2002 to effectively manage, edit and share photos, just landed on iPad, During the iPad launch event, Apple also revealed the iPad version of the app. Photography and photo manipulation is now an integral part of the iOS experience, especially now with the Retina display of a new iPad. So it was only a matter of time before Apple brought out an iOS version of the iPhoto app.

Apple Announces New Apple TV At iPad Event

Although the whole buzz about today’s Apple event primarily concerned iPad, Apple was able to surprise us yet again by taking the opportunity to unveil it’s all new Apple TV. This is great news for many but at the same time, a disappointment for those who have been expecting Apple to reveal an LCD display television. For now, Apple plans to stick to set-top boxes and the new version of Apple TV is able to output 1080p HD video.

Google, Motorola Asked By Judge To Provide Apple With Android Data

Apple and Motorola have been locked in a bitter legal feud for a while. The bone of content between the two is the rights to certain patents which, both allege, the other side has violated. And now that Google has acquired Motorola Mobility, it has also been tossed into this legal fray by virtue of this acquisition. In the latest twist, a U.S. Circuit Court Judge has asked Google and Motorola to provide Apple with development information about Android.

Supplemental OS X 10.7.3 Update Released By Apple

Some users had been complaining that ever since they updated to OS X 10.7.3 they haven’t been able to restore their Mac through Time Machine. Apparently, Apple has heeded their plight and has now released a supplemental update to OS X 10.7.3 that should solve this problem. Of course the update will require that you run OS X 10.7.3 on your machine before installing the update.

U.S. Senator Schumer Wants FTC To Investigate Apple And Google For Piracy Breaches

Apple and Google will be in for such charges against their companies like that for patent infringements and for privacy issues, from other companies, users and states. Now, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer (New York Democrat) wants the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to investigate both the giants, Apple and Google, for stealing users’ private contacts and photos without prior permission to do so. Recenlty, Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android have faced charges for accessing users’ data and there has been no serious action from the government condemning such acts even remotely.

Reports Say Apple Is Working On iPad Smart Case And Gorilla-Glass For iPhone 5

Despite what a number of analysts and researchers would have you believe about Apple working on an iPhone with aluminium back, the reports from a fairly reliable source say that Apple is going to stick to with Gorilla glass for iPhone 5. This has been divulged by Jeremy Horwitz, who has been pretty accurate about his Apple scoops in the past. Jeremy also said that Apple is working on a new iPad ‘Smart case.’

Apple Resolve Signal Problem For China Mobile’s iPhone 4S Users

Currently, Apple has one official carrier at China and has nearly sealed a deal with another major mobile carrier in the country. However, the largest carrier in China is China Mobile and Apple hasn’t been able to reach a deal with it yet, though there is hope this may happen soon. What’s interesting is that although the carrier is not iPhone’s official carrier, it has some 15 million subscribers who are using iPhone 4S. Some of these users has problems receiving signals on their devices and Apple responded promptly to resolve this problem.
