Google is not providing more information about upcoming version of Android 5.0 and we hear just in dribs and drabs information. Even the rumors is saying that this version will be available this summer, but the nick name of this version is not select yet. What do you think, which nick name will be used to explain Android 5.0?
After Cup Cake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich, we have got two possible name for Android 5.0 and the name is Pecan Pie or Chocolate Cake.
However vice president of engineering for mobile at Google, Hiroshi Lockheimer said “After Android 4 comes 5, and we haven’t announced the timing yet, which we’re still sorting out, There’s a lot of engineering work behind it still, and there’s also just the question of how to time it.”
Lockheimer also added “In general, the Android release cadence is one major release a year with some maintenance releases that are substantial still. Having said that, we’re flexible. The [timing of releases] is not what drives us, but what does is innovation and offering users a great experience.”
No doubt, Google is happy for the success of Android 4 and they want to more success when Android 5 will release. Already Google captured major portions of Smartphone OS market by Android 4 and many Smartphone manufacturer depends on the Android OS.
