Warby Parker May Help In Adding Some Style To Google Glass Frames

Ever since Google unveiled its Project Glass, we have been catching frequent glimpses of the much-touted augmented reality glasses. However, many have cited concerns as to the practicality and suitability of wearing an odd-looking pair of glasses in public. Apparently to counter this, Google is trying to bring Warby Parker on board to add some style.

Google glasses

The bare-bones glasses that we have seen Larry Page, Sergey Brin and others wear in public, do look a bit odd. They seem something out of a science-fiction show and may put the wearer as well as the onlookers ill at ease. A better way would be to simply make the frame of these glasses more ‘normal.’

It is to this end that Google is trying to bag Warby Parker. Warby Parker is known for creating ultra-cool and highly attractive frames for glasses and other eye-wear accessories. The company’s products are somewhat of a fashion statement among the hip crowd.

So if Google is able to brake a deal with the company, that would mean that we may soon see a lot cooler and more attractive Google glasses. This would also mean a lot for the search giant since a more appealing outlook may attract even more prospective customers to this product.

The glasses are already somewhat of a hit, with limited pre-orders selling out like hot cakes. With just a spin of style, Google may be able to take their popularity to a new level.
