Sony has released a new firmware update for the PlayStation 3. Websites around the net are reporting that the firmware contains a new .SELF with an unknown KEY, prohibiting the use of any sort of homebrew.
However, hackers are already claiming that they’ve managed to get the new root keys for the PlayStation 3 and are working on ways to create a new custom firmware to get around Sony’s latest update.
