Galaxy Nexus was the first to use the Android Gingerbread operating system. Samsung and Google have decided to delay of launching their new device because of the death of Steve Jobs. Actually it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced by Samsung & Google.

“We believe this is not the right time to announce a new product as the world expresses tribute to Steve Jobs’s passing,” the spokesperson said.

We shouldn’t worry about the delay news because this is not a cancellation of product. The companies still have lots of time to fulfill Google Executive Chairman’s promise that ICS will be released in the October/November time frame.

Google and Samsung were working on an event billed as “Samsung Mobile Unpacked” for October 11 at the CTIA show in San Diego.

the companies’ announcement coincides with release of a video purportedly showing the new Samsung ICS phone in action. A test version of the unit running the new operating system, the video below, first reported by Gadget.ro
