Acer is the world’s second-largest personal computer maker by shipments after Hewlett-Packard Co.Acer CEO Gianfranco Lanci told Dow Jones Newswire that it will be launching its first line of tablet PCs in New York City on November 23rd, priced from $299 to $699 each.
The tablet will be sold at US$299-US$699, Lanci said. But he declined to disclose the features of the product that will be delivered to markets in January next year.
Lanci said he expects Acer’s revenue to rise 5%-10% in the fourth quarter from the previous quarter and continue to grow by 10%-15% next year, similar to this year’s growth.
