Asus‘s two new 10-inch tablets have now officially been unveiled at CES 2011 and their official names are Asus Eee Pad Slider and Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Both tablets share the same base concept and that is bring a tablet together with a keyboard. The Slider has a slide out QWERTY keyboard while the Transformer has a detachable keyboard that can attached to the bottom of the device.The Slider will be coming in April or May for between $500 and $800 in the US. The Sliders features include Android Honeycomb, a 10.1-inch WSVGA (1280 x 800) IPS capacitive touchscreen, a Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC, 512MB/1GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of eMMC flash storage, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 5MP rear-facing camera, bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN, a mini USB 2.0 port, mini HDMI output port, memory card slot, a 2-in-1 audio jack (headphone or mic-in) and a docking port. The Slider will weight 886g and measure 17.7mm thick.The Transformer will also be coming in April or May but for between $400 and $700 in the US. Features for the Transformer are similar to the Slider with a few differences. The differences are that the Transformer has up to 64GB of eMMC flash storage, a 1.2MP front-facing camera, a built-in microphone and two built-in stereo speakers. The Transformer weights 680g and measures 12.9mm thin so it’s slimmer and more lightweight than the Slider.
