Apple has finally entered the realm of digital textbooks. We reported earlier that Apple has taken board many major textbook publishers and intends to transform the textbook industry. However, surprise is being expressed over the fact that currently, only eight Apple textbooks are available. Is this too meagre a number to start with? And are the publishers still taking this as a test venture or are they serious about it and intend to take it as a long-term project?

Finally, Apple has revealed the big secret it has been guarding. Everyone has been eagerly apprehending what will Apple reveal at the event today. Apple Release iTunes U App For iPad

In the highly anticipated education-related event at Big Apple, Apple has today announced the release of the iTunes U App for iPad. The iTunes U App has been around but this release for iPad comes with design re-haul as well as some new features. The app in itself is free and acts like a portal where teachers can post notes, tell students of the course material, direct them to a certain page on a textbook and also mark and grade assignments.

Apple May Sell 48 Million iPad In 2012

Most estimates regarding Apple’s sales have proved wrong in the past. Apple managed to outdo nearly all of them. So apparently, the analysts are pitching careful figures so as not to be wrong this time. January 19 is an important day for Apple as it has scheduled an ‘education announcement’ on that day. Media analysts are speculating what that can be.
