Apple Won A Round In The Legal Battle Against Samsung In German court

A court in the German city of Mannheim decided recently that Apple has not infringed Samsung’s patent and the Cupertino based company managed to strike another blow to its enemy. Apple and Samsung are clenched in a legal war in more than 10 lawsuits held in courts from all over the world, from the United States to Australia, France and Japan.

350,000 Apple Textbooks Sold In 3 Days

When Apple launched digital textbooks in collaboration with McGraw Hill, Pearson and other publishers, many analysts speculated that these textbooks may not be a huge success. Fast forward just three days and Apple has already sold 350,000 textbooks!! That’s a mighty large number, given the fact that digital textbooks are still not a very accepted phenomenon. At this rate, Apple may as well dominated the textbook industry sooner than later.

Apple Claims Rights Over Kodak’s Digital Camera Technology Patents

Kodak has been on a downward spiral for quite some time. It failed to restructure it’s business model to cater to an increasingly digital world and the result is that Kodak is now filing for bankruptcy. However, Kodak may not have suffered the worst yet. In a surprise move, Apple has filed a suit against Kodak claiming that many major patents that Kodak had successfully used against rival companies, were actually developed by Apple when Apple and Kodak partnered back in early 1990s. According to Apple, Kodak has generated $3 billion in generated revenue through these patents.

Samsung is pretty well-known for it’s anti-Apple ads. These ads usually mock Apple by citing different features that Samsung’s smartphones have but Apple’s iPhone doesn’t and are regularly released now and then by Samsung. Now, Samsung has released yet another Samsung Galaxy II ad which mocks the lack of GPS navigation in Apple smartphones. Apple One Step Closer To Bring iPhone To China Telecom

Apple has been trying hard to bring it’s iPhone devices to one of the largest consumer markets in the world, China. Earlier, Apple succeeded in launching iPhone 4S with China Unicom, Apple’s official carrier in the country. But now Apple also wants other major Chinese carriers on board. It has been reported that Apple has been able to overcome a regulatory hurdle with China Telecom and is one step close to launch the iPhone device with the carrier.
