Apple Offers $69 OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive

Apple previously announced that they would soon be selling Mac OS X Lion on a USB drive and now Apple starts selling Lion drive at $69. Obviously it’d be cheaper to buy a USB drive and do it yourself or simply burn it onto a DVD. System requirements include at least an Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB memory, and 7 GB of disk space and the thumb drive is almost $40 more than the $29.99 version that is available via Internet download from the Mac App Store………………

Apple Cancels iPad 3 Orders For 2011 Due To Retina Display Issues

According to sources within Apple’s supply chain partners, Apple has canceled its supply schedule for the iPad 3 in the second half of 2011 because of production constraints for higher-resolution display panels and the iPad 3 is expected to follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 4 and sport a stunning Retina display. Apple iPad 3 will be mass-produced as per original schedule and it requires a bigger backlight, however a singer edge light bar doesn’t comes up to satisfactory levels and this could also delay the launch of Apple’s next iOS tablet……………

Apple Testing 4G LTE Capable iPhone With Carrier

It appears that Apple is now putting an LTE 4G-capable iPhone or iPad through the usual carrier testing and rhe proof comes from a .plist hinting at LTE in an internal iOS test build that is allegedly from one of Apple’s major carrier partners. Apple would love to get on board 4G LTE, given that some of their competitors already have 4G LTE capable handsets out in the market already and Apple has come out and said that we will not be seeing LTE iPhones this year………….

It was back in early June that Steve Jobs revealed what his plans were for the large piece of land Apple purchased from Hewlett Packard, located in its home district of Cupertino and now the Cupertino City Council has just made more details available about the Spaceship Campus. Apple’s plans to build a 2.8 million square-foot spaceship-like circular office building in the city and the city is currently in the midst of its review process of Apple’s plans. Apple’s proposal would then undergo a development review and public hearings at the Planning Commission and the City Council, the first step of the review involves an environmental impact assessment that will evaluate traffic, noise, air quality and will provide the public with an opportunity for comment………….
