Apple has released iMac Graphic FW Update 3.0 to address graphical hanging issues that some people were reporting on iMacs and after upgrading to Lion, many users had reported their iMacs were locking up entirely after playing certain kinds of videos, requiring them to reboot in order to regain control, this firmware update hopes to address this problem. The file itself is 482 KB, but it does require you to reboot your iMac and ensure the power is not interrupted during the update……………….

Steve Jobs Resigns As Apple CEO

Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple in a letter to Apple’s Board of Directors and Steve asks to remain Chairman of the Board and appoints Tim Cook as his successor. The board has approved these requests, effective immediately and he will still be active at Apple and is expected to continue to be involved with company strategy. Apple To Release Cheaper iPhone 4 With 8GB

Apple’s manufacturing plans an 8 GB version of the iPhone 4 to launch this fall and is currently in production in Korea. Apple’s iPhone 4 packs the impressive A4 processor, a decent 5-megapixel camera capable of shooting video at 720p and Apple’s Retina display. Next Apple TV Will Not Use OLED

Rumours that Apple would be partnering with LG to produce a 55-inch OLED television and now Apple has turned its focus to the television market, providing a device that would possibly allow users to stream music, videos and TV shows via its iTunes platform, but Apple is currently unsure of OLED technology due to its higher cost and related issues with large-sized OLED displays. Apple will eventually switch its digital gear to OLED tech and this won’t happen until three or four more years as the company has no interest in pricing itself out of the market…………

Apple may be planning on unveiling an all new Mac that is absolutely different from current products and the report seems to claim the product will be so different from current product lines that it will indeed be given a new name. It could be entirely possible that Apple is working on some sort of device running on a combination of OS X and iOS, especially given the iDevice-like features found on Lion and Apple will switch the Mac platform to ARM. Apple even threatened Intel that they’d be taking their business elsewhere unless Intel could get a handle on their mobile chips’ voracious hunger for battery power………….
