LG releases Android-running Max GW620

LG announced of their first Android handset – the LG InTouch Max GW620. Now in market there is three out of the top five mobile phones manufacturers selling Google OS devices.

The LG InTouch Max GW620 is a full QWERTY-packing side slider with a 3″ HVGA display. It runs on Android 1.5 (or otherwise known as Cupcake) and sports a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, capable of taking D1 videos @ 30 fps.
The other noteworthy features of the LG GW620 include a microSD card slot, GPS and Wi-Fi. The quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support is complemented by HSDPA 7.2 Mbps.

Starting today, you can get the LG InTouch Max GW620 for free on T-Mobile UK with a 2-year-long 24 GBP/month contract with unlimited data. Virgin Media also offers it for free on an 18-month 22 GBP/month contract with unlimited texts and data.

It might not be the best spec’d Android smartphone around but the LG GW620 seems like a pretty good deal at this stage.
