Huawei is a company that has been struggling to insert itself in the skinny and overcrowded space of the US mobile market. So far, they have stepped forward at CES 2012 with some prototypes called Ascend P1 S that left some people craving for more. Now, we have heard news that Huawei is setting up a conference due on February 26th, which is just one day before the Mobile World Congress starts, planning to share some details about their upcoming Diamond series high-end Android phones.
The devices have been advertized as being the smartest, fastest and most high-performing smartphones in the bunch. I bet this description will make even Apple jealous. Judging by the fact that the latest Hauwai devices sport Android 4.0 and include a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display, HSPA+21Mbps connectivity and 8MP cameras, we can’t wait to hear what Diamond is all about.
Even if Huawei has been keeping silent on the matter, rumors have been spreading about the Diamond arriving on the US market somewhere in the middle of 2012. And according to twice.com, the Diamonds should also benefit from 4G and quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 chips. We’re sure curious to see what Huawei has in store for us.
