Apple Tops In US Customer Satisfaction For Eighth Consecutive Time

For the eighth year in a row, Apple has come out on top of the annual American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) and Apple earned the ACSI’s highest score ever with 87 out of a possible 100 points. In an environment where it isn’t uncommon for companies to pass the buck from one company to another when problems arise and it’s not unusual for customers to tell stories about Apple going above and beyond to right a wrong, even when it’s clearly the customers fault………………..

Apple To Release White iPod Touch 5G

A new report is suggesting that Apple is preparing to release a white iPod touch in the coming weeks, potentially during the launch event for the iPhone 5 and the new iPod touch will be an very small incremental update to the existing model, although with the obvious bonus that it would come in white as well as black. The next-generation iPod touch will get a new oleophobic coating for its display and a revised ambient light sensor…………………

Apple Contracted With TSMC For A6 And A7 Chip Production

Apple’s A6 and A7 processor production will indeed shift to TSMC, as the company continues to distance itself from Samsung Electronics and the two firms have recently signed a foundry partnership agreement, which will see the next-gen Apple A6 chipset and its successor, unofficially dubbed the Apple A7. Samsung is no longer the exclusive manufacturer of Apple’s A processor and this move from Apple could be related to legal battles between Apple and Samsung…………….

Apple To Reset iCloud Backups

Apple has posted a message on its developer boards that it will be resetting the iCloud Backup data on September 22 and it prompted speculation the final version of iOS 5, also known as the Golden Master (GM) being the final developer version, which is seeded to iOS developers ahead of the public release in the next week or two…………..

Apple Listed Late 2011 iMac

A bit of a surprise has slipped out with Apple’s recent posting of Thunderbolt support documentation, the distinct possibility of a whole new iMac update to come by the end of the year and the support documents make reference a late 2011 iMac as being part of the group that can handle two Thunderbolt displays simultaneously, along with the MacBook Pro, the Mac mini and the mid 2011 iMac………………

Apple Holding iPhone 5 Media Event On October 5th

Apple finally opens their mouths and spills the beans on the next generation iPhone, as the latest little rumour to hit the net on the subject is that the iPhone 5 could see an official announcement earlier that previously speculated and an inside source of the unnamed variety of course, has apparently stated that Apple is to hold a press conference on the 5th of October when they will announce the next iOS smartphone with the iPhone 5 hitting retail the week after. Apple uses the date to just unveil the new iPhone or to release it to the public and it has also been rumored that iOS 5 will be released on October 10th, which seems to fit well with the October 5th launch event……………….

Apple Working On Combination Of iTunes And iCloud

Apple is now attempting to find a way to merge multiple Apple IDs, after developers have found having multiple sign-ins causes problems on iOS 5 and iCloud and Apple did not immediately respond to a request for official comment. The issue of using multiple Apple IDs has been a minor annoyance in the past and Apple has instituted a new policy with Automatic Downloads, which do not let you switch between logins and locks devices for 90 days to a single account. The inability to merge Apple IDs has also become a problem for iCloud developer testers who want to be able to sync content between products and it’s tough to say how many people are affected by the lack of ID merging……………….

Apple To Add iMessage Into Mac OS X Lion’s iChat

Apple is building support for iMessage, its new messaging service in iChat, Mac OS X Lion’s instant messaging software and iMessage is one of major features of iOS 5 that was showcased at WorldWide Developer Conference 2011 Keynote. A developer found two new properties hat are not supported by iChat’s native protocols and it wouldn’t be the first time Apple provided native cross-compatibility for messaging between iOS devices and OS X……………
