Flipboard APK Leaks Out, Works On A Number Of Android Devices

When Samsung launched its Galaxy S III, it stated that a Flipboard app will be a part of the device. We were also told that the app will remain exclusively available on the device, at least for the first few months. But that, apparently, was not to happen. Now, the Flipboard APK has been leaked to XDA Developers forum so that virtually anyone can download and use it.

Sharp Is Working With Japanese Government On Standard Home Management Control Protocol

Home automation is nothing new and a number of companies have already been working on it. Specifically, from among the tech giants, Google and Motorola have been working on home energy managements systems (HEMS). Now, Sharp is collaborating with the Japanese government to create a standard control protocol for HEMS. Sharp hopes that once this protocol is designed, it will be compatible with the electronics of every manufacturer.

Next Version Of Android After Jelly Bean Would Be Key Lime Pie

Google sure has upped the pace at which it is rolling out the versions of it’s Android OS for Android devices. Whereas Ice Cream Sandwich is still being considered a rather new version with not many vendors having upgraded their devices to it yet, Google’s Jelly Bean has already made news. It is expected to hit the shelves later this year. And while that is still fresh, we are now hearing rumors about the version that will follow Jelly Bean, most probably called Key Lime Pie.

Google+ And Google Wallet App Updates Released For Android

If you have not yet known, Google started to release updates to both the Google Wallet and Google+ apps for Android. Google+ update does not contain more, only except “Several stability improvements and bug fixes” but on the other side Google Wallet has received more significant updates such as support for PO Boxes and an “increased allowable address length” for Prepaid Cards.

MWC 2012 – LG Optimus Vu In Limelight

The press conference and the pre-event booth displays at MWC 2012 are quite enough for us to have a little bit of everything that is going to be unveiled officially soon. LG has it’s fair share of new baggage. One of the interesting devices at LG’s booth is the LG Optimus VU. Apparently, it is LG’s response to Samsung’s Galaxy Note. Optimus Vu features a 5-inch screen and has a 4 by 3 physical aspect ratio, which makes it rather inconvenient to hold in a single hand.
