Microsoft Will Refund Windows Azure Customers For 12 Hour Outage

Windows Azure offers flexible support options for customers of all sizes – from developers starting their journey in the cloud to enterprises deploying business critical applications. Last Friday, Microsoft said that its Azure service went down shortly before 1 p.m. PST/4 p.m. ET/9 p.m. UTC, due to an expired SSL certificate and the breakdown prevented Azure customers for around 12 hours from accessing files kept in Microsoft’s data centers. Now, Microsoft has announced that it will refund its Windows Azure customers due to that expired Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate.
