Microsoft has revealed an impressive new app which lets you control your Microsoft Office 2013 and Office 365 files and documents wirelessly. In essence, the app terms your Windows Phone 8 handset into a remote which you can then use to give presentations, open Word files and do other Office stuff on your PC.

Driving at night when it’s raining or snowing can be dangerous. It’s because, besides illuminating the road and the surrounding environment, the headlights also illuminate raindrops and snowflakes, making them appear as bright flickering streaks. And the driver’s view of the road ahead becomes obscured by brightly headlight-lit raindrops or snowflakes. But in future, headlights may turn the rain and snowflakes invisible, and enable the driver to see clearly through raindrops and snow.

On the same day, Microsoft Chief Steve Ballmer was celebrating his 57th birthday, an early build of Windows Blue, Microsoft’s next update of Windows, was leaked online. The leaked Windows Blue build, numbered 9364, was a partner version compiled on March 15.

There are many newspapers who let readers donate the proceeds of their subscriptions to an education fund when they go on vacation. These funds are used to provide newspapers and digital subscriptions to local classrooms. This week, The Boston Globe has announced that it is modernizing the “Newspaper in Education” program and taking it to iPads and projectors.
